Students enrolled in the graduate or certificate programs at Pitt Online may be required to complete an examination under proctored supervision. If this is the case, the UPTC will contact you before your exam to assist you with locating a proctoring facility that’s convenient for you.
Once contacted, we’ll work with you to identify a proctoring location. Students living in or around the Pittsburgh area can test at the UPTC in Oakland. For those living outside of the Pittsburgh region, we encourage you to review our list of pre-approved proctoring sites. There may already be a pre-approved site that’s convenient for you. You can also locate testing centers through the National College Testing Association.
Once you’ve identified a proctoring location, complete the UPTC Testing Site Selection Form.
In the event that none of the pre-approved testing centers are convenient for you, please let us know immediately by email at email@example.com or by phone at 412-624-7215. We’ll search for additional locations that may be convenient for you.
Once a proctoring facility is identified, make a testing appointment for a day and time that suits your schedule, and falls within the parameters of the exam. Please note that some instructors allow exams to be taken over a block of days, and some allow only a few hours on a single day. We do ask that you inform the UPTC of when your testing session will be, so that we can have technical support available during those hours as backup.
